FAITHFUL TO BE
It is written like this, in Paul's first letter to Timothy, chapter 3, verses 1 to 5:
“This is a true saying, if a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)»
Very often, we can enjoy learning from each other. Ourselves, we like to be empowered. We are differently gifted, we have different experiences in life, and everyone has thought of things that no one else has thought of. We are able to teach each other. And what then applies are the requirements placed on supervisors in general. It is important to be trustworthy. A bad tree cannot bear good fruit, said Jesus, and it is important to be obedient and to be trusted. It is important to be core healthy. Each one will make the Lord our God valid in his own way, but what we all are can be called being faithful.
It is important to know that God works in you. As a growth comes to life by being healthy and clean, we ourselves will make ourselves known by being healthy, in the deepest sense, joyful and lively. The stupid, the unfruitful, the dead cannot arouse recognition. You must be blameless, and arouse joy when you show yourself and make something known.
Love must come from within. Pure and undefiled, and not given as of sinner to another. You are only good if you think well.
